Workshops/Tutorial proposals

The 38th Euromicro Conference series on Software Engineering and Advanced Applications (SEAA) is soliciting proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with the main conference and for tutorial proposals on any topics related to Software Engineering and Advanced Applications in information technology for software-intensive systems.

Workshop organizers and tutorial speakers are requested to follow the guidelines below in submitting their proposals by the submission date.

Workshops

Workshops should not be intended as an alternative forum for presenting full research papers.

Workshop Proposals

Workshop proposals must be up to 3 pages in length. Each proposal should contain the following information:

• Contact details of the organizers and of the main contact.
• A brief abstract (less than 200 words) of the goals and format of the workshop intended for the SEAA 2012 web pages.
• The theme, goals, topics of the workshop, and a motivation of its relevance and timeliness.
• Desired length and workshop's history, if any.
• Specify if the workshop intends to publish its proceedings through SEAA. Proceedings of workshops will be published in a computer science report series of the University of Linz, Austria, with ISBN number. Proceedings will be provided in USB only.
• The paper selection procedure, including the types of papers permitted (demos, short, long, ...), the dates for submission and notification of acceptance, names of proposed and confirmed program committee members, and a link to a preliminary workshop web site and call for papers. The workshop dates should permit solid reviewing and paper completion before that date.
• Publicity plans, including a motivated assessment of the number of expected participants, as well as the participant solicitation and selection process (also indicate whether the workshop will be open or closed).
• A brief biography of each organizer, including past experience in workshop organization.

Acceptance

The organisers of the workshop are responsible for the workshop abstract. Workshop organizers should ensure that all authors sign the appropriate copyright forms, and submit their camera-ready version.

Workshop submissions are to be sent through EasyChair at https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=seaa2012

Finally, in preparing their workshop proposals and organizing their event, workshop organizers should keep in mind that SEAA 2012 will not pay for registration, travel, or other arrangements for workshop organizers or any of their invited speakers or guests. All participants, including workshop organizers, keynote speakers, and invited guests, must register for the workshop.

Tutorials

Tutorial proposals must clearly identify the following information:

• A title of the tutorial
• Tutorial objectives and its relevance to the SEAA
• Intended audience and its assumed background
• The scope of the tutorial and the depth within the scope
• A proposed list of topics covered in the tutorials
• The proposed method(s) of conducting the tutorial
• The proposed teaching materials that would be distributed to the participants
• The contact information (name, email address, telephone number, and FAX number) and a brief biography of the presenters
